Gathering South XXVIII: Merrick Gardens // Knockengorroch ‘Warm Up'

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a year since our last house concert, which makes it all the more exciting to announce the 28th edition of Gathering South Sessions this May 2nd!

This session will celebrate Beltane the finest way possible, with some of the finest traditional music in a home filled with like-minded revellers..

This session will also feature as a warm up show to get in the festival atmosphere and hype ourselves up for our first festival takeover - in the Longhouse at the mighty Knockengorroch Festival on Sunday May 25th 🌱🎪

Attendees will receive a 15% discount code in-person for Knockengorroch Festival tickets to come join us in the fields for the takeover just a few weeks later 🎟

Expect THREE sensational acts from the Folk & Traditional realm who’re bound to take our minds elsewhere that night..

As always, we’ll be serving up a home-cooked veggie meal for everyone. To help cover food costs and support the musicians, a donation bucket will be in the kitchen—drop in what you can before plating up. Small gestures like this keep these nights community-driven and self-sustaining, so don’t forget to bring some change 🕊

This is a BYOB event—just be sure to take your empties home with you for recycling.

We'll be gathering in a home on Merrick Gardens, Ibrox, with the full address shared to ticket holders on the day of the event.

Knockengorroch Festival

Taking place in the Carsphairn hills of Dumfries and Galloway from 22 to 25 May, Scotland’s longest running greenfield festival was born from a love of the land, excellent roots music and celebrating the good times, presenting unparalleled music, arts and workshops in a beautiful mountain riverside meadow. This year the theme is survival, to reflect the ongoing challenges that the live music industry, the arts and culture, the environment and indeed the planet continue to face.
