Anthony J. 'Tony' Artis, aka 'Baba Amoah' (AH-moe-wah)

Is a native of Kokomo, Indiana, and has lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, since 1978.
He is an African drummaker, owner/operator of Amoah's African Drum Works and Coal Bin Productions. He is the founder and artistic director of Ori Afro Jazz Ensemble and co-founder of Sancocho Music and Dance Collage. He likes all genres of music as long as it is performed to the best of the artists' ability. Artis also became known as Babalawo Awodele Ifasina (Bah-bah-LAH-woe Ah-WOE-deh-leh Ee-FAH-shee-nah) in 2004 when he reached an advanced level in the Afro-Cuban spiritual system known as Lukumi . Lukumi is the Afro Cuban version of the traditional Nigerian Yoruba spiritual system known as Ifa (ee-FAH). Ifasina has been an Ifa/Lukumi practitioner since 1997. Stop by and say hello!

He is a father, brewer, and chef. He is a Northern European Animist with a focus in Heathenry and Druidry. As a shamanic practitioner he has a strong relationship with the spirit worlds, especially with the runes. He works closely with the runes to help others heal and obtain guidance in their lives where it is most needed.
To Jarrod the runes are symbols and names of the spirits they represent. They are both an ancient Germanic and northern European written language of sounds and pictographs as well as entities with their own personalities and agendas that can offer us guidance and clarification in our lives as we need it.
As a shamanic practitioner and Reiki master he works with energetic healings. As a chef and nutritionist he works on healing the physical body with dietary needs.
He will be offering a presentation on Understanding the Scary Runes: Hagalaz, Eihwaz, and Ear
This topic will go over the beauty in these runes that many view as uncomfortable, scary, and intimidating.

Adam Riviere, world percussionist, audio engineer and composer, Tycoon Percussion US Artist Relations & Consultant
Holds over 30 years of experience in various facets of the music industry, 15 published albums and numerous collaborations. He began playing the piano at the age of ten, which led to a love of percussion. Since then, he has studied more than 30 world instruments. He has degrees from Butler University in Music Business (graduated cum laude), and a Masters of Science in Music Technology from Indiana University. In 2020 Adam became the US Artist Relations & Consultant for Tycoon Percussion working with other artists to ensure they are able to deliver their gifts and love for music and culture. Adam is also owner/chief engineer of Playground Productions Studio a recording/rehearsal studio in Indianapolis. Adam hosts various events at his studio, and the annual events he hosts include Cardigan Weather Show: Grunge Gawds (celebration of 90s alternative music, art, and pop culture), Halloween at the Garden, Assuit Up & Raqs (dance and music workshops with belly dance performances and fashion shopping), and Evening of Doum: An Underground Belly Dance Series.
