Gather at the Gallery: Fused Glass Suncatcher (55+)
About this Event
Gather at the Gallery is a monthly event presented specifically for the 55+ community. There will be opportunities to express your own creativity through a variety of hands on workshops, meet artists and hear their stories, or preview new exhibitions.
Please note that there is a limit of two tickets per person. This measure is in place to promote a more equitable ticket purchasing experience for everyone.
During this workshop you will make a fused glass window hanging on a clear circular base. Layer sheet glass, frit, beads, and stringer to create your own design. Try your hand at cutting glass with our mosaic cutter tools!
All suncatchers will be tack fused. This will retain texture and 3-dimensionality while softening sharp points. Your base will have a hole for hanging it up.

After the Workshop + Pickup:
The glass artworks will be fired in a kiln at the gallery. Approximately 4-6 weeks after the workshop, you will receive an email when they are ready to be picked up.
Glass items can be picked up at the front desk. Please let the front desk attendant know the date of the workshop and the names you are picking up for.
