Residents asked me to replace the trees felled in the area some time ago, and one of my ideas was to plant a permanent Christmas tree for generations to enjoy.
So that’s exactly what’s happening. A lovely new fir tree will be planted on Gateacre green and this year, working with the Friends of Gateacre, we’ll be decorating and lighting it up for the first time.

Alongside the switch-on, we’re expecting a visit from a very special guest 🎅.
