Gary Lowder and the Smokin' Hot Horns have won multiple Carolina Beach Music Awards throughout the years, including the 2021 CBMA "Male Vocalist of the Year". In addition, The band won the "Readers Choice Award" for "Best Local Band" on the Grand Strand for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.
