In this hands-on program, children will experience the full journey of growing their own food. Starting in the greenhouse, they will plant seeds and learn how to care for young plants. As the season progresses, they’ll transplant their seedlings into the garden and continue tending to them, gaining an understanding of plant life cycles and the importance of nurturing nature.Once the harvest is ready, children will use the fruits of their labor in simple, kid-friendly recipes, connecting the garden to the kitchen in a fun and meaningful way. Each month, participants will take home a special piece of the project—such as seeds, seedlings, or recipe cards—to inspire and encourage gardening at home with their families.
This program fosters curiosity, responsibility, and a love for nature while promoting healthy eating habits and family engagement.
Price includes: 8 sessions from February-May, gardening toolkit, and a complimentary gift upon completion of the full program. $100 members/$200 non-members (admission for child participating and one guardian included)
This registration is for Wednesday sessions for these dates: 2/11, 2/25, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 5/20
Meeting locations will vary throughout the season. 10:30-11:30 a.m.
