Garimot Arnis Training Seminar + Los Angeles

Garimot Arnis Training (GAT) Los Angeles will be hosting a TWO-DAY SEMINAR featuring Abundio Salazar Baet (GAT PUNO), head of the #GarimotSystem

This Two-Day Seminar will occur as follows: (DAY 1) Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Palms Park Activity Room A located at 12305 207th Street, Lakewood, CA 90715 and (DAY 2) Albert O. Little Community Center Artesia Park located at 18750 Clarkdale Avenue, Artesia, CA 90701. This will be a two-day (Day 1 on Saturday, Sept 25 and Day 2 Sunday, Sept 26) five-hour (11am-4 pm) per day GAT Seminar open to Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced students in Martial Arts background and Filipino Martial Arts are welcome. Participants are encouraged to register early. GAT Ninong does not like working behind schedule, so please plan ahead.

The Garimot System was introduced and brought into the United States from Paete, Laguna, Philippines by GAT PUNO Abundio S. Baet. The Garimot System has been in the Baet family for five generations.

Explore the Garimot System, participate in this seminar, and infuse it with your style of martial arts. We hope that this Garimot Seminar will enhance your martial arts skills and encourage you to continue training within the Garimot System, particularly within Southern California. Funds for organizing this FMA seminar are collected by private donations, fundraising at local Filipino festivals, and registration fees.

FEES: Early Registration Fee has passed (August 6, 2021). Standard Registration Fee for one day is $75.00, and two day is $130.00 through September 24, 2021, 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time. No refunds will be made for those who register after September 15, 2021. EventBrite will charge additional fees. At-The-Door Rate/Fee will be slightly higher for registration and will apply on Sept 25-26, 2021, and must be paid through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle (NO CASH TRANSACTIONS onsite!!!).

ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT: Alternative payment methods (PayPal, Venmo, and Credit Card) will require additional charge (of 3.5% or $2.60 @$75 for 1 day or $4.50 @$130.00 for 2 days), but not for Zelle (NO FEE/CHARGE for using Zelle payment: use 424-488-3846). PLEASE NOTE: NO CASH TRANSACTIONS will be permitted in the City of Lakewood or Artesia. All payment transactions must be done electronically, whether done in advance or onsite. Prior to the start of GAT Seminar, participants must:

(1) Submit seminar Fee/Payment Online (EventBrite.com SEARCH: "Garimot Arnis Training + Los Angeles"); NO CASH TRANSACTIONS will be permitted in the City of Lakewood or Artesia. All transactions must be done online through EventBrite or alternative payment (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle) pre-arranged with GAT Ninong/Instructor prior to GAT Seminar (and NOT the day of Seminar). At-The-Door Rate will be a slightly higher fee. Any donations must be done online and/or prior to seminar (i.e., EventBrite, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle).

(2) All GAT Seminar participants must sign Waiver (this will be made available on the day of the GAT Seminar, Sept 25-26, 2021) as an electronic and hard copy form will be available.

(3) All participants must Show Proof of COVID-19 Full Vaccination Card (two doses) as a COVID-19 Requirement GoogleForm and COVID-19 Requirement hard copy Form will be available for participants to review and sign; If you are NOT fully vaccinated and cannot show proof that you are, you will NOT be allowed to participate in the GAT Seminar. No exceptions. No proof of vaccination = No participation in seminar. If you are coughing, sick, show fever/cold, then you will NOT be allowed to enter GAT Seminar (as we are following Los Angeles County COVID-19 Guidelines and City of Lakewood & Artesia mandates). NO REFUNDS after Sept 15, 2021;

(4) All participants must Wear Face Mask as required by Los Angeles County Guidelines for COVID-19 while seminar is being conducted indoors at Lakewood and Artesia Venues;

(5) Report and list any prior/previous Injuries.

PARKING is FREE at Palms Park (Lakewood Venue) and Artesia Park (Artesia Venue). Lock your car/doors.

BRING: Please bring your own self-contained bottle/water/drink to avoid spilling/leak. Wear comfortable clothing for standing, bending knees, and sitting. Bring your own towel with bag for storing to wipe an excess perspiration. Participants are encouraged to bring your own arnis/escrima sticks/weapons. NO BLADED or sharp weapons will be permitted at the Lakewood or Artesia Venues. GAT Ninong will have arnis sticks for sale (Payment must be made electronically through EventBrite, PayPal, Venmo, Credit Card, or Zelle; NO CASH permitted).

ATMOSPHERE: This will be a fun way to learn Filipino Martial Arts. GAT PUNO got jokes! No egos or set-trippin'. GAT Ninong will take care to make sure you enjoy what you will be learning!
