Celebrate World Soil Day with us by exploring the fascinating world of gardening with microbes! Earthwhile, Soil Health & Regeneration Consultants, will lead an engaging adult education workshop that highlights the crucial role of microbes in gardening.
In this session, you’ll learn about the functions and benefits of microbes for healthy gardens, including hands-on insights into soil microscopy and effective soil maintenance techniques.
World Soil Day, celebrated annually on December 5th, raises awareness of the vital role soil plays in sustaining life on Earth. It emphasizes the importance of healthy soil and advocates for sustainable soil management practices.
Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your gardening knowledge and contribute to a healthier planet!

Adult learning space - guests are requested to turn phones to silent, where possible, remain seated for the duration of the event, be respectful to facilitator and attendees alike and exit discreetly when needed. This event is unlikely to be suitable for children.

Directions to centre
Please consider using public transportation. A bus stop, just a 2-minute walk away, is conveniently located near the Centre and services multiple routes.
The Centre is located at 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop in the Piney Lakes reserve. To reach us, if heading westbound, take the first left after Murdoch Drive on Leach Highway. If coming from the Fremantle area, continue on Leach Hwy across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left. Please park in the signed public carpark.

Bring the following items for recycling at Piney Lakes when you attend a workshop: household batteries, printer cartridges, light globes, mobile phones and chargers, writing instruments, plastic bread tags, oral care products, plastic bottle lids, metal bottle lids and beer can clips.
