About this Event

Come join our Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps member Ron Roberto for a Gardener's Workshop on pollinator friendly plants! Ron will cover a wide variety of plants found at Cylburn Arboretum that host and provide nectar and pollen for our pollinators. The presentation will be followed by a tour around the ground showcasing garden design elements that provide ecological functions and aesthetic value, discussing plant forms, colors, textures and planning for successional blooms. Attendees on this tour will participate in hands-on demonstrations of gardening practices used to accentuate plant beauty and prolong their bloom time.

If available, please bring your own pair of gloves and pruners. Prepare to get your hands dirty!

Attendees will meet in the Nature Education Center classroom.
