Join the WSU Kitsap Master Gardeners and Bainbridge Island Library for a walk and talk about successfully growing ferns in the PNW.
About this Event

In this session, we will explore some of the best ferns for Western Washington gardens, with a close look at planting strategies, growing needs, and care. The Bainbridge Island Library is home to an outstanding fern garden. We will begin indoors, then spend most of our time in the fern garden, where we can see mature plants in their settings.

Instructor John Haskin is retired professor of environmental studies , Kitsap Master Gardener, and editor of the Hardy Fern Foundation’s Quarterly Journal.
