About this Event
July 2, 2022: Outdoor Dehydrating
Join Traditional Ecological Knowledge Keeper Audrey Logan at West Broadway's Indigenous Agriculture Site to learn to harvest and dehydrate foods, teas, and medicines. Dehydrating is a great skill to have to help preserve food for later and to cut back on food waste. This workshop will allow participants to get their hands in the dirt and participate in hands-on learning.
Audrey Logan has been educating and guiding inner city gardeners for decades, sharing their vast knowledge of traditional agricultural practices with anyone lucky enough to listen. Audrey is the caretaker of Deer Spirit Permaculture Garden and the founder of Dehydration Nations, a grassroots, Indigenous-led initiative that teaches people to dehydrate food.
