This workshop is designed especially for complete beginners who want to start gardening in a simple, practical way. No prior experience is needed. You will learn how to grow plants using low cost methods and everyday materials, making it easy to begin at home.
The session introduces the basic principles of gardening, including sunlight, watering, drainage, and the role of compost. You will also learn how to use recycled items such as plastic bottles, egg cartons, jars, and tins as plant containers, helping you get started with minimal expense.
A hands on session will guide you through regrowing vegetables from kitchen scraps, growing herbs in small containers, and propagating plants in water. You will also learn how to care for supermarket herbs, such as basil, so they last longer and continue to grow.
This workshop focuses on simple techniques that anyone can follow, even with limited space or time.
By the end, you will feel confident to start your own small garden using what you already have at home.
