Garden Faire - 2024 Placer County Master Gardeners

The Master Gardeners of Placer County will hold their annual spring Garden Faire on Saturday April 13 at the Maidu Center 1550 Maidu Drive Roseville from 9 am – 3 pm. The event is sponsored by the City of Roseville Environmental Utilities.

This free educational event will be a fun outing for the whole family. Everyone from beginner gardeners to longtime gardening fanatics will find something of interest. There will be a Lorax themed children’s area complete with Truffula Trees decor crafts games and lots of fun. Representatives from local organizations focused on gardening and the environment will be represented along with vendors who will display their garden related products for sale.

Master Gardeners will be there to answer gardening questions and provide UC researched information for residential gardeners. Several local plant nurseries will offer their plants for sale and door prizes will be presented throughout the day. Hands-on demonstrations and talks by experts will provide in depth examination of specific topics.

• Keynote speakers are Michael Glassman an award-winning landscape designer whose topic is “Landscaping Trends for 2024” and Kevin Marini Certified Arborist and Master Gardener of Placer County speaking on “Honey I Shrunk the Fruit Trees.”
• Workshop speakers include Justin Black City of Roseville water conservation specialist whose topic is “Keeping the Green” and Peggy Beltramo Master Gardener of Placer County presenting a hands-on demonstration titled “Plan Sow Grow.”
• New this year the Arts Council of Placer County will be hosting local artists and galleries with displays of garden related art.
