The annual Garden City Beach Tree Lighting Festival sponsored by the Garden City Beach Community Association is undergoing a transformation.
Get ready for a family-friendly Holiday Block Party!
The annual event set for Monday December 2 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. will be held on Atlantic Ave. in the heart of Garden City based at 128 Atlantic Ave.
Atlantic Avenue will be blocked from the intersection of Waccamaw Drive to the intersection of Dogwood Drive for the event and the public is invited to attend free of charge.
The event will feature extended hours and will include vendors arts and crafts and the appearance once again of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus as the finale to the evening. The Christmas tree lighting will precede the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
Holiday music will fill the air with appearances by the Belin United Methodist Chancel Choir and the church’s children’s choir.
Free hot dogs soft drinks water and sweets along with coffee and hot chocolate will be provided for the event which is open to the public.
