Come join us for an afternoon of Garba + Bollywood Dance fun at The Gantries!
Ever wanted to Garba until sunset against the beautiful NYC backdrop along the East River? We got you!
Whether it's your first time or a beginner, everyone is welcomed to dance.
Come solo or bring your friends. No partner required!
Follow along lessons throughout the day for all who wish to join
Indian attire encouraged.
How can I find you?
We'll be right in the main Plaza area. Right by the two metal Gantries.
Are there restrooms nearby?
Yes there are public restrooms and water fountains nearby and inside the Hunter Point Public Libary.
Do I have to know the steps beforehand?
No. Welcome to the world of Social Dance. Come as you are. Dance to your own beat. We'll have instructors on site to
How much does it cost?
This is FREE event. We are raising funds for Womenseducationproject - because, as always, we believe dance IS a movement and will get us one step closer towards gender equity. Suggested donation of $15 is appreciated.
What Should I Wear?
Wear comfortable footwear to dance around in. Indian attire encouraged, but not neceessary.
What's the dance floor surface?
Dancing under the Gantries will be a wooden pier like surface.
The plaza area will be concrete. Plenty of space for over 50+ dancers!
