A little park history: the land for Gans Park was generously deeded to the City of Elkhart in 1965 by C.E. Gans, whom the park is named after. Just a few years later, in the fall of 1969, the park was developed — and it has been a beloved neighborhood space ever since.
Now, more than 50 years later, we’re thrilled to bring new life to the park with this brand new playground. Come join us for the ribbon cutting, community fun, and a chance to celebrate Elkhart’s parks legacy!
