COMMANDER LEAGUE THURSDAYEach week you can play two games in which we will save and record the points for a full month. Each week the players with the most points get paid out in Booster Packs, and at the end of the month we do a pay out of Booster Packs and sometimes store credit to the top players! The prize pay out each week and month is based off attendance.
Rules/Details:
- Multi Player Banned List – can be found at MTGCOMMANDER.NET
- $8.00 entry each week you participate
- Each "season" runs for one month(usually 3-5 weeks) while we track your points on a spreadsheet.
- Each player will play in two POD games per night (starting at 6:00pm and ending around 9:30pm)
- Match ups will be picked at random for the first round. Second round will consist of having the winners of the first matches moving into the “Winners Circle” POD, and the remaining players randomized against each other.
- You can switch decks between PODS
- 90 Minute Time Limit (Each player will get one turn after time expires. The current player when time runs out will be considered to be taking their final turn)
- Proxies are allowed but only if they are printed with full text/picture and if you own the card
- ”Scoop” or Concede only at sorcery speed.
- Sideboard/Wishboard is NOT ALLOWED
- If multiple players are killed at the same time, determine placement by life totals.
- No infinite combos before ROUND 8
- You can only do a repeatable or infinite combo TWICE a turn before ROUND 8
- Each player is now limited to 3 EXTRA TURNS before ROUND 8
- Once the round timer has gone off and players are on their final turns, there will be no more taking extra turns from that point. Also, once time in round is called you are immediately moved to “Round 8 rules”. Meaning everything is treated as if you guys just started round 8 even if it is in the middle of a players turn.
Points can be scored the following ways:
1 point - Eliminating an opponent (achievable for as many opponents as you have)
0 points - Eliminating an opponent before ROUND 6 (you do not receive the 1 elimination point)
*If you are eliminated by another player before ROUND 6 you get 1 extra point*
**(-1) point - eliminating yourself with your own spell/permanent/card.**
***3 point cap to anyone who wins their table before ROUND 8***
In addition to the following ways to earn/lose points, there is also the d6 pre-game rules. (These rules are printed out on sheets in store)
The following is how many points you get for what place you end up in the pod:
4 player pod 3 player pod
1st - 3 points 1st - 4 points*
2nd - 2 points 2nd - 2 points
3rd - 1 points 3rd - 1 points
4th - 1 point
***MAKE SURE ALL POINT TOTALS ARE ACCURATE BEFORE SUBMITTING THE RESULTS SLIP. RESULTS WILL NOT BE CHANGED AFTERWARD***
