GameCamp Edmonton - July 2026 Edition
About this Event
GameCamp Edmonton's monthly events are open to all professional, indie, hobbyist, student, and aspiring game developers, as well as people who are working in other technology and creative fields and are interested in learning more about the game development industry in Alberta. While GameCamp's main community focus is based in Edmonton, we welcome anyone and everyone who is interested in being a part of our community, even if they're outside of Edmonton!
This month we're welcoming Ryan Bromsgrove (Head of Growth & Marketing, vrCAVE). Ryan will be sharing his talk, Gamedev Networking for Introverts.
Networking can feel hard for an introvert. Unfortunately, you're probably going to need to do it. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be a mystery: there are ways to prepare yourself and tricks to make it easier. Ryan used to be really bad at networking — and now, maybe he's kind of okay. He'll share some approaches he found helpful as he navigated game development networking events in Edmonton, and internationally, that led to interesting people and valuable opportunities.
This event is being hosted at the Stanley Milner Downtown branch of the Edmonton Public Library in Community Room 1 (in the basement)! After the talk, we'll head down and across the street to the for casual mingling, hanging out, and delicious food and drink.
As always, this event is free for anyone and everyone to attend, though please note that space is limited so RSVPs are required.
