About this Event
GameCamp Edmonton's monthly events are open to all professional, indie, hobbyist, student, and aspiring game developers, as well as people who are working in other technology and creative fields and are interested in learning more about the game development industry in Alberta. While GameCamp's main community focus is based in Edmonton, we welcome anyone and everyone who is interested in being a part of our community, even if they're outside of Edmonton!
For our first GameCamp Monthly of 2026, we're excited to welcome Isaac Otway (COO, Zugalu Entertainment), who will be sharing his experience in going from making a game to building a business.
In his talk, Isaac will talk about how Crimson Herring went from making a game to building a studio that makes games. Isaac discusses audience and community building, project management, finances, and the current state of the industry, through the lens of their latest release Hunter's Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure.
This event is being hosted at the Stanley Milner Downtown branch of the Edmonton Public Library in Community Room 1 (in the basement)! After the talk, we'll head down and across the street to the for casual mingling, hanging out, and delicious food and drink.
As always, this event is free for anyone and everyone to attend, though please note that space is limited so RSVPs are required.
