Location

Windsor Hall, College Plaza Professional Building. Please enter College Plaza through the main doors on 8215 112 Street and take the elevator to the Second Floor. Follow the signs to Windsor Hall for the Meetup.

About this event

The sun is shining, the trees and grass are blanketed in snow, and the birds are huddled for warmth—but there are no mosquitoes! GameCamp Edmonton, with INDOOR space graciously donated by Pixel Blue College, is hosting the winter equivalent of our summer picnics. Join us to reconnect with friends you haven’t seen since the summer, share your experiences from the recent Global Game Jam, or just enjoy some face time with like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating games.

Is There A Cost?

There is a base ticket cost to help cover event expenses, including snacks, drinks, plates, utensils, and other supplies. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and snacks, but we ask that you refrain from bringing peanuts or other nut products to ensure a safe environment for those with severe allergies. Please note that alcohol is not permitted at this event.

For those who would like to purchase more substantial food rather than bringing their own, we’ll be serving chili and garlic toast! A vegetarian chili option will also be available because we’re thinking of our veggie friends, too.

GameCamp organizers will handle all the cooking, with vegetarian chili prepared separately from the beef chili. Additional snacks will include veggies, fruit, chips, and other goodies, along with water. Condiments will also be provided.

Ticket Options:

Tickets are per person. Meal ticket sales will end on Saturday, February 15th at 12 PM.

• $5 - Base Ticket: Includes attendance and snacks.
• $15 - Beef Chili Bowl and Garlic Bread: Includes attendance, a beef chili bowl with garlic bread, and snacks.
• $15 - Veggie Chili Bowl and Garlic Bread: Includes attendance, a veggie chili bowl with garlic bread, and snacks.
• $15 - Beef Chili Bowl with Gluten-Free Garlic Bread: Includes attendance, a beef chili bowl with gluten-free garlic bread, and snacks.

What To Bring?

• Feel free to bring any additional food, snacks, or drinks you'd like (no alcohol or nut products, please).

What's The Schedule?

No talks or presentations. This one's purely social!

Is Alcohol Permitted?

No, alcohol is not allowed at this event.

What Are The Covid Restrictions?

There are no capacity limits or mask mandates that would affect this event. However:

• If you want to wear a mask, you are more than welcome to do so
• If you have recently tested positive for COVID-19 or are showing symptoms, we ask that you stay home (and we will issue a refund)
