Game Night Fundraiser for Ukraine!

Russia’s attack on Ukraine has left a lot of us feeling hopeless and asking, “how can I help?” We set out to find a way to make a positive impact while also shedding light on an amazing organization working directly on the ground helping people to fight, survive, and prevail.

I’m proud to announce that on May 20th 2022, at the wonderful Can Can Wonderland, we’ll be holding a giant party to raise funds for #StandwithUkraineMN.

DETAILS

Can Can Wonderland is a whimsical destination of amusements and entertainment featuring indoor mini golf, vintage pinball, modern arcade games, food, a full bar, and a pour-it-yourself tap wall. If you haven’t been there, you NEED to check it out. There’s nothing like it!

- Doors Open: 6:30pm (Can Can is officially open at 11am)

- Mystery Guest Trivia: 7:30pm

- Half-Buzzed Spelling Bee: 9:30pm

- Ukrainian Entertainment: Details soon!

- All ages until 9pm (21+ after 9pm)

- Cost: $10 at the door for unlimited arcade games

- Food is available for purchase

- Prizes (and other fun developments) to be announced as the date approaches

HOW TO DONATE

- There will be numerous ways to donate directly at the party via online donation or merch purchase

- Can Can has graciously offered to donate ALL PROCEEDS of their special Ukrainian beer they’re brewing for the cause.

- If you’re unable to attend, but would still like to help, we’ll share a link to donate online prior to the event. We’ll have a beer in your honor!

ABOUT #STANDWITHUKRAINEMN

Donations are processed through the Ukrainian American Community Center (UACC) a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) and the fiscal sponsor of #StandWithUkraineMN. The UACC is a non-profit that works with vetted organizations experienced in getting aid to where it is needed. They focus their efforts on filling in the gaps that the big organizations miss and small organizations don’t focus on. They help bring aid to the front lines in the form of protective gear and medical supplies. As a Minneapolis-based organization, the families connected to UACC are directly affected by the war and often have loved ones abroad living through the chaos. We chose to help this organization because of its direct impact not only on our community but also on the communities abroad.

While assisting Ukraine is the sole focus this year, we understand they are not and will not be the only ones in need, now and in the future. We hope with the success of this event, we will be able to continue raising awareness and aid for the communities who need it most. We’re calling this the first annual “Spring-a-Ling” party in hopes that it becomes an annual event!
