St Patrick’s Band to Launch new Concert Band for Galway!
St Patrick’s Band is forming a new Concert Band for Galway. The band has undergone many shifts over its 130 years legacy. It started as a drum and fife band, reinvented itself as a brass and woodwind band in the early 1900’s and again reinvented itself as a brass band in the 1970’s.
The band would now like to see about providing a home for woodwind musicians once again in Galway by creating the Galway Concert Band which will operate in tandem with St. Patrick’s Brass Band.
The new band is aimed at experienced musicians. Whether you play brass, woodwind or percussion, the Galway Concert Band want to hear from you!

Under the direction of Musical Director Mr. Bertrand Huve, rehearsals will take place on Sundays between 11am to 1pm in St Patrick’s Band Hall in the heart of Galway city.
