ZEIT llega a Madrid con Mientras Tanto, una exposición colectiva presentada en colaboración con LAZO.

ZEIT es un espacio de producción y plataforma artística independiente con sede en Barcelona, que reúne a una comunidad de artistas y desarrolla exposiciones, colaboraciones y proyectos curatoriales dentro y fuera de su espacio.

Mientras Tanto nace como una reflexión sobre cómo el tiempo transforma aquello en lo que creemos. Cambian los valores, las imágenes, las instituciones, las formas de relacionarnos y las historias que nos contamos. Algunas creencias desaparecen, otras se reinventan y otras permanecen hasta convertirse en parte de aquello que damos por hecho.

La exposición parte de una pregunta sencilla:

¿Qué creemos hoy?

A partir de ella, las distintas prácticas y lenguajes de los artistas participantes entran en conversación, sin buscar una respuesta única ni ilustrar el concepto de forma literal.

LAZO es un espacio cultural en Madrid dedicado al arte y a generar encuentros alrededor de la cultura contemporánea. Conectado al espacio se encuentra su wine bar, donde durante la inauguración se podrá beber y comer mientras RUFO pone discos.

La inauguración será el jueves 10 de septiembre a partir de las 18:00.

Mientras Tanto permanecerá abierta durante dos semanas, con posibilidad de visitar la exposición todos los días.

ZEIT comes to Madrid with Mientras tanto, a group exhibition presented in collaboration with LAZO.

ZEIT is an independent artist production space and artistic platform based in Barcelona, bringing together a community of artists while developing exhibitions, collaborations and curatorial projects both within and beyond its space.

Mientras tanto reflects on how time transforms what we believe in. Values, images, institutions, relationships and the stories we tell ourselves are constantly changing. Some beliefs disappear, others are reinvented, while some remain until they become part of what we simply take for granted.

The exhibition begins with a simple question:

What do we believe today?

Rather than seeking a single answer or illustrating the concept literally, the exhibition brings together different artistic practices and languages, allowing each work to enter the conversation from its own perspective.

LAZO is a cultural space in Madrid dedicated to art and creating encounters around contemporary culture. Connected to the exhibition space is its wine and tapas bar, where you can grab a drink and something to eat during the opening while Rufo plays records.

The opening takes place on Thursday, September 10, from 6 PM.

Mientras tanto will remain open for two weeks and can be visited every day.
