This quarter in Gallery B is filled with a unique variety of art made by Bloomington-based artists that share one thing in common: they’re all staff members at Bloomingfoods Co-op Market. Every piece you will see displayed on our Gallery walls has been hand-crafted by some of our talented and creative staff members, and we couldn’t be more excited about being able to help them share their art with the community.
Tyler Williams displays analog memories through various manual body cameras. Wade Van Orman makes his art exhibit debut with photos that capture the fleeting beauty of the moment. Regan McKims artwork is a combination of magic and storytelling that lets the viewer imagine their own perspective. Douglas Rike studies the natural curvature of nature’s dunes in his photo series, “Nordhouse.” Ira Drummy’s whimsical art is inspired by his experiences growing up surrounded by nature. Grace's ceramic work ranges between functional objects to abstract sculptures, all of the pieces are connected through the use of unique glazing techniques and playful use of human forms and features. Chaz is displaying “ready-made” mixed medium art— she’s just having fun, please join her!
Gallery B’s Staff Exhibit artists draw from the inspiration around them to create their pieces and have learned to express themselves in all sorts of ways. We hope that you will enjoy observing the unique differences between each expression from every individual’s art as much as we enjoy the opportunity to share it with you.
