Please join us for a gallery talk by Dr. Joseph Ogbonnaya about the importance of culture in both Iké Udé’s work and universally. Dr. Ogbonnaya is associate professor of theology at Marquette University, where he is also director of the Marquette Lonergan Project, framework that connects how cultures are built, maintained, and transformed. Among other publications, he is the author of African Perspectives on Culture and World Christianity.

Iké Udé: Sartorial Anarchy is part of the Fall semester titled The Otherworld is Home which explores themes of personal reclamation, cultural identity, spiritual passage, and connection across Africa’s many diasporas.
