Gallery Art Framing Series

Note this is a two-session class. Two consecutive Saturday afternoons 1-4pm. Please discuss exact dates with the instructor during your first class.

Welcome to the MakerSpace Charlotte “Gallery Art Framing” experience. This is a two-session class, where we will explore custom framing options and materials to produce a finished gallery-ready piece of art. You will learn how to measure and cut matboard openings, operate our mitered frame cutter, along with options for joining hardwoods selected by you from our vintage stock. If you bring your own hand-made wood frame material, you may use that as well. We will also learn how to panel-cut matboards, glass, and acrylic! Assembly and finishing will continue into our 2nd session, followed by a capstone art show where we will display and discuss your final work in a roundtable format. For members, this class will result in certification to use the art framing studio.

Refund Policy:

• Transfers to another class follow the same refund rules as your original date.
• 14+ days before the first class: Full refund.
• 7–13 days before the first class: Refund minus a 50% administrative fee.
• Fewer than 7 days before the first class: No refunds.
• Seat transfer: If you find a replacement who pays for and takes your seat before the first class begins, you are eligible for a full refund.

Class may be canceled due to low enrollment in which case a full refund will be issued.
Cancellation Policy:

MakerSpace reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment. If a class is canceled by MakerSpace, fees are 100% refundable.
