GALLERY AF is excited to bring to you "GHOST SHIP" An Art Show and Performative Arts Party in celebration of October, All Hallows Eve and the Autumn Equinox.
The only way we could figure would be best for this would event be to collaborate with the amazing dark artist and curator of "Leviathan Goth Nights" Shane Izykowski! Shane is a dark art realist painter and sculptor extroardinaire. A curator of all curiousities! We could not be more excited to collaborate on this truely one-of-a-kind event!
THIS SHOW FEATURES:
Over 40 of Los Angeles Finest Art Talents, composed primarily of dark Artists alongside some amazing artists who've ventured into the darkness for this themed exhibition. This will be featured in the gallery's primary exhibition space alongside our Fire and Aerial Performances.
The inspiration behind the Group Art Exhibition Ghost Ship is dedicated to past memories, carried away by vessels long forgotten, on unsettled and dark waters. The turbulence of the ocean wakes us from our slumber, while the memories of past pain, trauma, grief and suffering come flooding back into our consciousness. We find ourselves asking if we’re actually awake, or are we lucidly dreaming of a time gone by?

ABOUT LEVIATHAN:
LEVIATHAN, L.A.’s only aquatic themed GOTH SUBCULTURE NIGHTLIFE EVENT, is collaborating with Gallery AF for their very first group art exhibition, Ghost Ship, at our Gallery! Ghost Ship will feature artists of many different disciplines and mediums, taking inspiration from the aesthetics of and performances that characterize LEVIATHAN shows!
This exhibition will be curated by Shane Izykowski, founder and director of LEVIATHAN, and will be displayed alongside a new collection of works by Shane himself!
The intention of LEVIATHAN has always been to be an inclusive and safe space for all humans. It has been deemed a creative hub for goth subculture and a place to express yourself as an artist. Ghost Ship draws upon that intention, and extends it beyond LEVIATHAN’S typical scope. This exhibition will serve as subtext to the overall vision of LEVIATHAN, adding visual components to its ethereal and surreal undertones, and will ultimately be a part of its historical canon.
