About this Event
About the event
Join us for a special Galentine's Day (Gal + Valentines) event where you can create a beautiful traditional Korean Minhwa artwork! Local Seattle artist Heekung Seo will guide you through the process of painting a Sogwado, which features small fruit paintings that symbolize fertility and happiness in Minhwa art.
Couples wishing to celebrate Valentine's day are welcome to join us too!
Why Minhwa?
Minhwa, or Korean folk painting, is known for its vibrant colors and symbolic meanings. The Sogwado paintings are particularly significant, representing abundance and joy, making them a perfect theme for celebrating friendship on Galentine's Day.
