Galena Creek Charity Gala

The Visitor Services program (VS) of the Great Basin Institute (GBI) is pleased to announce the upcoming Galena Creek Charity Gala; a special fundraising event in support of Environmental Education Programming at Galena Creek Visitor Center. The event will take place on Friday October 3 2025 at The Lodge Bar & Patio located 17025 Mt. Rose Hwy Reno NV 89511.

This exciting evening invites community members partners and nature enthusiasts to come together in support of outdoor education and youth programming. Guests will enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere featuring hors d'oeuvres drinks silent auction/raffle and engaging presentations by special guest speakers - including educators and presenters from GBI's exploration camps.

"This Gala is more than just a fundraiser it's a celebration of the impact outdoor education has on our local youth" said Gabe Zurn Visitor Services Program Manager. "By attending this event you're helping inspire the next generation of environmental stewards."

Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased online or in person at the Galena Creek Visitor Center (18250 Mt. Rose Hwy Reno NV 89511). Proceeds will directly support the development and expansion of GBI's Environmental Education programs which provide hands-on science learning outdoor exploration and environmental stewardship opportunities.
