St James' King Street is delighted to announce that the gala opening recital on the new Bicentennial Pipe Organ will be given by the acclaimed organist and conductor James O'Donnell.
Join us on Friday 26th July at 7pm as we launch the St James' International Organ Festival, which aims to bring internationally renowned organists to our doorstep, while showcasing the might and versatility of our new Dobson organ; an organ for Sydney.
James O'Donnell is Professor of Organ and Sacred Music at the Yale School of Music and the Yale Institute of Sacred Music. He is the former Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey and joins us for a week-long celebration at the time of the St James' Patronal Festival in this our Bicentennial year.
