Join the Greek Archaeological Committee UK (GACUK) as it celebrates 40 Years of Academic Excellence, marking the 40th anniversary of its founding.

Kindly hosted at Cyprus House, London, this special anniversary event celebrates GACUK's remarkable contribution to promoting Hellenic cultural heritage through scholarship, research and international collaboration.

Since its establishment, GACUK has supported postgraduate studies in Hellenic archaeology in the United Kingdom by awarding scholarships to Greek and Cypriot graduate students of limited financial means. Over the past four decades, more than 80 graduate archaeologists have benefited from its scholarship programme, enabling a new generation of scholars to pursue advanced research and go on to distinguished careers.

The evening will highlight GACUK's enduring commitment to academic excellence and demonstrate how its scholarship programme has strengthened academic collaboration between Greece, Cyprus and the United Kingdom, while fostering cultural understanding and supporting the next generation of archaeologists.

The programme includes a PowerPoint presentation by Professor Emerita Maria Iacovou (University of Cyprus), together with addresses by GACUK Patrons and supervisors of the Committee's scholars.

Bringing together distinguished academics, Patrons, friends, supporters and scholars, the evening will reflect on the achievements of the past forty years while looking ahead to the future and reaffirming a shared commitment to promoting Hellenic cultural heritage through education, scholarship and international collaboration.
