Gabrielle Lucille Fuentes is author of the novel The Sleeping World and the story collection Are We Ever Our Own. She has received fellowships from Hedgebrook, Yaddo, Lighthouse Works, and the Blue Mountain Center. An Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, she holds an MFA from the University of Colorado and a PhD from the University of Georgia.
