Ton Felices (Barcelona, 2002) is a rising double bass player based in Amsterdam who has already accumulated an extensive and diverse career. Ton is a fixture in Amsterdam's creative music scene: his versatility and melodic and virtuosic approach to the bass allow him to play frequently in a wide variety of contexts. He has performed extensively in The Netherlands as well as internationally and is the winner of Prinses Christina Concours 2021, Juventudes Musicales de España 2022 and awarded Best Amsterdam Soloist of the Keep An Eye International Jazz Competition 2024.
Born in Estarreja, Portugal, Miguel Valente is a young award-winning saxophone player, bandleader and composer based in Amsterdam. He is a versatile, intuitive and melodic artist that aspires to find freedom within the structure that music brings and who has been emerging as a co-bandleader and bandleader in projects such as Nausyqa (winner of Keep an Eye “The Records” 2024 and Laren Jazz 2022), CHOCOS, Y.O.P.E, MAST, Miguel Valente Quartet and the Giedra/Valente Quintet. Coming from a musical family, he was exposed to jazz music at an early age and soon developed interest for modern jazz music and at the age of 12 he was already playing with some of Portugal’s top musicians like Mário Laginha, Carlos Azevedo and João Mortágua. In 2018 Miguel began his studies at Conservatorium van Amsterdam where he learned under the names of Jasper Blom, Ben van Gelder, Dick Oatts and Benjamin Herman. In 2021, ́ ́Miguel Valente Quartet ́ ́ won both ‘’Best Ensemble’’ and ‘’Best Original Composition’’ in the Aveiro International Jazz Contest and in 2024 he won the GrachtenFestival Competition with the Giedra/Valente Quintet. ‘’Miguel Valente is a virtuosic, ambitious, hardworking and talented saxophonist.
