G Force Girls Robotics: Mars Mini Rover

Join the young women of G-Force Robotics as they partner with Oak Ridge Computer Science Girls to offer an exciting Mars Rover class! In this mini camp girls will learn how to make apps using App Lab (https://code.org/educate/applab).

Attendees will explore the use of data, tables and creating web requests to get external data. Using all these concepts, they will create an app to explore images from Mars sent by the Perseverance rover using an API to retrieve information.

The camp is free and open to girls in 5th-8th grades. A cheese pizza lunch will be served. Space is limited and registration is required.

Students should bring their own Chromebook or laptop or reserve one through the library. Library devices are limited.
