FWAS, Trinity Bird Outing and Bird Count

Join Tom Haase, Master Birder and Jean Ferguson, FWAS Director at Large and long time outing leader, for a casual bird focused stroll. We meet on Bellaire Drive on/near the bridge crossing the tributary/path leading to the Trinity River. Parking is available all along the street leading up to the bridge. There is an 8 inch step up from the road to the sidewalk at the meeting poi. There is also parking at the very near shopping area with no step up. The trail is nearly flat, asphalt paved trail, that transitions to the hard packed decomposed granite surface of the Fort Worth Trinity trail system. There is no restroom at this trail head. Binoculars are optional and no special equipment is needed.
Trinity River Audubon Center (TRAC) encourages birding along the Trinity River, observations gathered during this outing are submitted to TRAC.

What do we normally see on this walk? Seasonal water birds, bluebirds, herons, egrets, wood peckers, local resident birds, seasonal warblers. This is a great chance to get to know wildlife along the trinity.
This outing occurs on the 4th Sundays of September through May and starts at 8:30 AM.
