“Illinois Reads” was introduced by the Illinois Reading Council in March 2013. The initiative encourages people to read books by Illinois authors. Each year, the program offers a new list of books at six different age levels. Please join us on Saturday, November 15th (10:00am-11:00am) for Fox Valley Reading Council's (FVRC) Illinois Reads Event. Families from all ages are invited to celebrate Family Reading Day. Come with your family and enjoy a morning of family reading and activities.
This year's theme is "Draw like an Illustrator." Children will illustrate books written by Illinois authors.There will stories read aloud, children can read to therapy dogs that will be attending. Children will choose books donated by FVRC written by Illinois authors to take home. For children of all ages and their caregivers.
