About this Event
This workshop will provide a range of resources and example learning activities to introduce futures (anticipatory) thinking for sustainability into your teaching. Futures thinking is a key sustainability competency for ESD as it fosters student’s abilities to understand and meaningfully contribute towards current and future sustainability challenges. Learning activities that enable students to reflect on their perceptions, and for some students fears for the future, and methods for understanding and evaluating multiple futures (possible, probable, desirable) will be introduced.
The workshop is suited to both staff that are new to futures thinking for sustainability, and staff that already include futures thinking but want to explore how they can enhance current teaching practice to enhance sustainability.
Part of a series of Education for Sustainable Development workshops and events developed by CIE – each workshop will be recorded and periodically repeated. Staff support for Education for Sustainable Development at Liverpool will give you access to all ESD support resources.
