Tech Career Exploration Camp
Jump into the world of Cybersecurity, AI, Fiber Optics, Engineering, & more at our in-person camp! This is your chance to explore cool tech fields, try hands-on activities, and discover what a future career in tech could look like. Whether you're curious about digital defense or the magic of light-speed internet, there’s something here for you. Come hang out, learn a lot, and have a blast!
This week-long summer camp is designed for youth ages 12 and up who are curious about technology, problem-solving, creativity, and future career pathways. Students will explore real-world tech careers through age-appropriate activities, team challenges, career conversations, and beginner-friendly projects.
Campers will be introduced to career pathways including:
General Camp Registration
Includes week-long camp participation from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Fiber Optics Technician
Students will learn how high-speed internet moves through communities, what fiber technicians do, and why broadband infrastructure matters.
Cybersecurity Analyst
Students will explore how cybersecurity teams protect people, organizations, and public systems from online threats.
AI Specialist
Students will learn how artificial intelligence tools are used responsibly for research, creativity, problem-solving, and workflow support.
Mechanical Engineer
Students will explore how engineers design, build, test, and improve physical systems, machines, and products.
Business & Career Skills
Students will also learn practical business and workplace skills, including teamwork, communication, problem-solving, project planning, and how to explain their ideas clearly.
What Students Will Do
Throughout the week, students will participate in hands-on activities that may include:
Career exploration challenges
Beginner-friendly technology demonstrations
Small team design and problem-solving activities
Cybersecurity and AI discussion prompts
Engineering and infrastructure mini-projects
Business pitch and communication practice
A final student showcase or reflection activity
This camp is designed to help students see themselves in technology careers, whether they already love computers or are just starting to explore what is possible.
Extended Care Add-On
Adds early drop-off beginning at 8:00 AM and late pickup through 6:00 PM.
Optional scholarship / sponsored seat ticket
BBR Academy lets donors and partners sponsor youth attendance. Feel free to purchase a seat for a youth to enjoy this experience at no-cost to their family.
