Future Me: A Financial Reality Fair

What does it really cost to live the life you imagine for yourself?

Join us for Future Me: A Financial Reality Fair, a fun, interactive financial literacy experience designed to help students learn how everyday choices affect their money—and their future.

Students will have an opportunity to make real-world financial decisions as they explore budgeting, banking, saving, transportation, housing, lifestyle expenses, and more. Along the way, Financial Mentors will help students think through their choices, understand financial trade-offs, and see how each decision affects their overall budget.

What Students Will Experience

Through hands-on activities, students will:

• Create and manage a real-world budget
• Learn how banking and saving work
• Make transportation and lifestyle choices
• Explore housing and living expenses
• Practice making smart financial decisions
• Discover the difference between needs and wants
• Learn how today’s choices can influence tomorrow’s opportunities

Something for Every Age

Future Me is open to all students ages 4–18.

Older students will participate in the Financial Reality Fair simulation, receiving financial profiles and making a series of decisions as they work to balance their budgets.

Our youngest participants will enjoy a separate, age-appropriate financial literacy experience introducing concepts such as saving, spending, needs versus wants, and making good money choices.

Admission is FREE, but advance registration is required.

Parents and guardians should register each participating student so that we can prepare appropriate activities, materials, and student groups.
