About the Teen Acting Intensive
Give your teen the opportunity to train like a working actor this summer! The Future Artists Teen Intensive is an immersive performing arts program where students strengthen their acting technique, build confidence, and explore both stage and screen performance through hands-on training.
Led by experienced teaching artists and working Hollywood entertainment professionals, teens train inside LACAE's professional theater facility in the NoHo Arts District. Whether your teen is exploring acting for the first time or prepping for high school, college, or professional auditions, our instructors meet each student where they are while pushing them to make bold, authentic choices.
Choose Your Week (or Join for Both!)
Week 1: Craft & Character (August 3 – August 7)
Acting • Scene Study • Improvisation • Ensemble Work
Students build a rock-solid acting foundation through scene study, character development, and truthful storytelling.
- Grand Finale: A live showcase performance at 4:30 PM Friday on the LACAE stage for family, friends, and guests!
Week 2: Camera & Comedy (August 10 – August 14)
On-Camera Acting • TV Comedy • Audition Technique • Self-Tapes
Teens step in front of the lens to master camera technique, TV comedy structure, audition skills, and digital storytelling.
- Grand Finale: A live showcase at 4:30 PM Friday featuring student-created scenes and sketches!
(Note for LAUSD Families: Special prorated options available for Week 2 to match your school schedule!)
