Mix your (partner)dance ingredients, every 1st Tuesday of the month, in an epic Church!
Bring your folkie funk, connect through contact impro, throw in a tango touch, spice it with salsa, give it a hop & there we go!
EveryBody is welcome! No (partner) dance experience or partner needed!

Corentin is one of the best dancers I've ever danced with. Ever so gentle he suggests my body to move in ways that my mind can't grasp. He will teach us the "Cross-Step-Waltz" to be able to move swiftly through the space in our fusion explorations.
CROSS-STEP-WALTZ WORKSHOP - by Corentin Dachy
A smooth, flowing dance that moves. Not just your feet, but you, across the floor, through the room, through the music.
In this workshop, we'll explore the foundations of cross-step-waltz: closed frame, connection, grounded yet weightless footwork, traveling steps, elegant turns, musicality... Elements you can carry into any dance you already love, or combine together as the first steps into a new texture.
No experience required, bring whatever you already know, it will only go deeper.

I'm Lene Van Steenwinkel, a Dance/Movement Therapist & Anthropologist, who loves dancing with tribes/cultures all over the world, to explore the healing power of dance.
In 2018 I founded Kula Dance to create a conscious community in Ghent. I offer Embodied Dreamwork, Consensual Intimacy, Women Circles, Nature Connection & individual/group Dance/Movement Therapy. I discovered Fusion Dance at Burning Man and would love to create a Fusion scene in Ghent!

GUIDELINES EVENT
- Consent is key. Ask & respect a "no”.
- Everyone can invite each other (non-)verbally to dance a(nother) song.
- Check in with your dance partner: do you want to lead, follow or switch roles?
- Ask if your partner is comfortable with a close embrace, with lifts or dips.
- Does a dance feel uncomfortable? Be creative: how can I make it a pleasant/inspiring experience? Express your needs and boundaries. At any time you can end a dance.
- There are spaceholders you can ask support to & that insure a safe concensual space.
- If someone felt uncomfortable in the interaction with you, listen attentively, give apologies if needed & learn from the experience.
- This is an alcohol-free dance party.
- Between the opening and closing circles, conversation is kept to a minimum, for example, to ask consent or to ask a question during the class. We stay as much as possible out of the mind, in the body.
