Fused Glass Lily

Learn how to cut and arrange glass to make a large fused glass flower! Perfect for indoors to add colour to our gloomy winters or for outdoors to add something special to your garden. This 3d fused glass lily measures approximately 10" in width and can be customized to your preference by your own hand.

In this workshop you will get to try a variety of techniques- cutting glass, decorating with frit (crushed glass) and following a pattern. This is an advanced workshop to try a variety of techniques and to expand your creativity while creating a large 3d object. This workshop will cover creating 2 layered flowers, creating 3d fused glass objects, slumping, following a pattern and adding decorative elements.

No experience is required (though it is recomended); all tools, materials, and equipment will be supplied.

This will be a full day workshop so feel free to bring a snack and drink if you wish, and feel free to take breaks as you need.

For safety reasons, long pants and closed toe shoes must be worn.

After the workshop the glass will be kiln-fired. You will be able to pick up your finished artwork in a few weeks time. This workshop includes a copper stem to display your artpiece.
