Just in time for Valentine Gift Giving, we are offering a new version of this classic.Copper Cat Studio's in-house glass fusion artist Donna Smit teaches this introductory glass fusion class. Each student creates two hearts. One to keep or give to a sweetheart. The hearts measure approximately 4-1/2" x 4-1/2". Each student will receive a lecture on the science of glass and begin by using nippers to lay out a layer of clear glass on kiln paper. For the second layer, students will nip and compose pieces of colored glass to create a design of their choosing. Students can create an abstract design, landscape and more! Students will use fusible bails to create hooks for a beaded wire hanger to be added after firing. Pieces will need to be left at the studio to be fired in a kiln. All supplies are included. This is a perfect workshop for beginners and fun for experienced students.
Class size is limited to 8 students. This workshop is for ages 15+. Please wear shoes that fully cover your feet (no sandals or flip flops)
