Funkin' Grateful is comprised of music veterans from the jam band world based in South Florida. Funkin' Grateful provides a unique and funky interpretation of the music of the Grateful Dead. Members hail from The Heavy Pets, Unlimited Devotion, Fusik and More !
Funkin' Grateful is NOT a Grateful Dead tribute band. They use the tunes from the Dead and other notable funk hits from the 60's and 70's. Mashups like Althea > Miss You > Althea or Fire on the Mountain>Don't Stop Till You Get Enough> Fire on the Mountain are common at their shows. Expect to hear Dead tunes reimagined and mashed up with tunes from Parliament Funkadelic, The commodores, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Steve Miller, Talking Heads and More !
