About this Event

Have you ever wondered what are fungi, where do they live, and how many we have in Michigan? Join Lorenzo Lo Piccolo's dynamic presentation which includes fungal facts, anatomy, foraging safety, etiquette, sustainable collection, and identification activities!

Lorenzo Lo Piccolo began foraging in the early 2000s. What began as a springtime mushroom interest quickly became a long passion to forage and appreciate fungi, plants, and their mutual connections. Lorenzo holds a Mushroom Certification in Michigan from MAMI/MDARD and enjoys sharing his foraging experiences with the public through talks and guided park tours. Check out his findings on his Instagram: @lorenzo.funginus

Registration preferred, walk-ins welcome. Free parking available in the staff lot off Putnam Street.
