Fundraising through Corporate and Business Partnerships

Are you interested in learning to raise money for your charity or project through corporate and business partnerships?

This FREE half-day workshop will offer a broad introduction to corporate fundraising, covering current corporate giving trends, understanding the motivations behind corporate giving, identifying your assets and why a business might support your work, researching possible supporters, and building an appealing pitch. It will include presentations and practical activities, with the aim of getting you ready to make real progress.

This is a Fundraising for Lewisham event, delivered in partnership by Lewisham’s FDMs (Fundraising and Development Managers), and is open to people and organisations based in and/or working in Lewisham.

Location: Pavilion, Horniman Museum & Gardens SE23 3PQ

Date: Monday 17th November 2025

Start: 9.30am arrival & registration

Finish: 1pm

Optional: 2-3pm Tour of the Horniman TBC

Tea and coffee will be provided, feel free to bring your own lunch, or make use of the on-site cafe.

This event is being organised by Lewisham Local, Lewisham Education Arts Network (LEAN) and Community Connections/Age UK, the event is sponsored by Beacon. By signing up you are agreeing to have your registration data shared with these groups so that they can run the event. Photos and video may be taken on the day for use by these groups in marketing, promotion, monitoring and evaluation. On the day you can add a large cross to your name sticker to show that you do not want to have photos or video taken and we will make every effort not to capture your image.
