Professor Longhair’s “Rugged and Funky” is an independently produced New Orleans film. Sadly, because his family does not own the rights to his music, likeness and image in photos or video, Bagnall and Meredith have to raise $157K (one hundred fifty-seven thousand dollars) to cover costs of licensing HIS music for his documentary.Celebrate Jazz Fest's Original Headliner through supporting this epic film!
The private screening of this poignant and galvanizing film will take place on the following dates:
Wednesday May 1, 2024 - The Dew Drop Inn Doors Open 3PM for cocktails and seating. Screening starts at 4PM (seats are limited)
Patrons can purchase a ticket of $25.00 or more to attend the private screenings. Sliding scale is available.
