The Event: Please join the Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral for an entertaining evening of delicious Lebanese food, a silent auction, and live classical music in support of our building improvement projects!The Reason: Prior to the pandemic we successfully completed a capital campaign to install an elevator in our building. We are now continuing our fundraising efforts to improve our church hall for our parish and the wider community’s use through projects such as improving the acoustics in our hall and adding an accessible washroom. All proceeds will go towards these fundraising goals.
The Place & the Food: We are excited to be hosting this event at El Mazaj restaurant! The food will include cold and hot Lebanese mezze and a main course, served family style (large platters to be shared with other members of your table). There will also be dessert and unlimited soft drinks, coffee, and tea and a cash bar. Allergies and dietary restrictions can be accomodated - please include details when you purchase your ticket.
The Tickets: Tickets are $100. These can be purchased through Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/fundraising-gala-2024-tickets-873886166047?aff=oddtdtcreator . They are also available for purchase by cash or card at the Cathedral on Sundays during coffee hour.
The Church: Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral is a Christian Orthodox church located in the heart of Ottawa’s Chinatown. We are a growing and diverse congregation with an active schedule of services, frequent social events, and a history of community engagement. We are a registered Canadian charity (BN 884003708RR0001) that relies on the generosity of our parish and community to maintain our building, premises and activities.
