Join Essential Yoga Studio as we raise funds for and awareness about Southern Missouri Immigration Alliance through yoga and art on Friday evening, July 3, from 7-830p.
Here's what to expect:
- Sunni will lead us through a 45-minute gentle yoga session sharing intentions of liberation and justice for all - open to all and no experience required.
- Jules will lead us through a 30-minute workshop neurographic art workshop - a structured yet free-flowing method of art that centers on creating neuron-like lines and shapes - supporting our creativity and experimentation while quieting our critical mind.
Southern Missouri Immigration Alliance (SMIA) is dedicated to justice and support for our immigrant neighbors. This event is about connection, mindfulness, and sustainability - proceeds will go to supporting our neighbors impacted by ICE detention. A representative from SMIA will be present to provide materials and promote awareness of the organization's incredible work in our community.
Sensory experience expectations: this event will take place in an indoor studio setting - no candles, sage, or incense will be burned; lighting will be soft for yoga and brighter for our art workshop time; soft music will be played through the Studio's speaker.
