Over 220 lives were lost in Santo Domingo, DR when the roof of Jet Set nightclub collapsed on hundreds of people attending a merengue concert on April 8th. To show solidarity with our Dominican brothers and sisters as they try to navigate this horrific tragedy, I am hosting a fundraiser at Utopia. Every single dollar will go Jompéame’s fund for the victims and their families. Resources will be used for funeral costs, medical expenses, emotional support and other immediate needs for victims and victims’ families. This is a verified organization local to DR.
There is no cost to attend, but there is a suggested donation of at least $10. You can Venmo me (Vanessa), pay cash at the door, or send a donation directly to Jompéame:

**Special thank you to Bachata instructor Adam Taub (Colorado) who generously donated his time to help me come up with a class structure that will focus on body positioning/weight transfer, box-step, box-step variations and turns.**
• 9-11 pm: Social (bachata, merengue, salsa)
